Absolutely no technical support is provided
Ticol Tcl is strictly a personal hobby project and is currently incomplete and "beta" quality. It was intended to complete the project but personal circumstances prevent any further work at the present time. It is released for use in the hope it may find some use as a learning tool or experimental language. It should NOT be used in a production environment.
Due to time constraints I am NOT able to offer support with this software or in debugging/fixing yourTcl scripts. Script language support can be incredibly time consuming and I just don't have the time to offer.
Good bug reports are, however, welcomed, but this is a hobby project so really I can't guarantee a fix time, SLA or detailed reply. When submitting a bug report, try to be as detailed as possible, include copies of any relevant scripts, Ticol version, O/S version and, if possible, screenshots. Keep the total email size < 1Mb and don't include binary attachments. There is no guarantee or timescale given for updates or fixes. Any fixes depend on finding free time to spend on the fix.
Before submitting a bug report, check out the Tips and Tricks page as well as the "Tips and Tricks, "Ticol Workarounds" and "Troubleshooting and Common Mistakes" sections of the Ticol manual

Things I'm Not Interested In
I'm not interested in lengthy, nitpicky or petty lectures about how various parts of the language have been implemented "wrongly". The language is presented "as-is" and as designed primarily for my own purposes. If you find it useful, that's great. If not, there are plenty of other languages you can use. I'm fully aware that Ticol isn't as useful a language as say ActiveState Tcl or "Jim". It was never intended to be. I'm well aware of areas where it is lacking. If you have constructive suggestions and in particular, really well checked bug reports, then I'd like to hear them (see above).
Manual
The Ticol manual is fairly extensive and includes a variety of examples, comments and tips on using the language as well as a description of the limitation of certain features. The manual should be consulted if you run into problems. The manual is available from the Tcl console command line, from this site as a web page, and as separate RTF or Windows Help files. See the downloads page to download the help file. I've tried to make the documentation as comprehensive as possible in order that the need for support might be avoided.
Troubleshooting, Tips and Discussion
Although many tips are covered in the Ticol manual, others are also discussed here
Example Code
Some simple example Tcl scripts are available. See also the downloads page

Tcl Websites
The following sites are highly recommended as a general resource for the Tcl language
Alternatives
Since Ticol is still under development and currently early release quality, you may
wish to look at other versions of Tcl for regular use.

Why Doesn't This Site Use SSL Certificates?
I don't believe in them, at least for personal and noncommercial websites. I strongly disagree with the concept of centralisation or any mechanism via which centralisation of political control might be achieved via regulatory capture or commercial monopoly. I see arguments against this which confuse "centralisation" with "singularity". DNS servers *are* centralised but they are not "singular". The consequence of political and regulatory capture of the internet is becoming apparent from 2020 onwards. It is likely to be ever more so in the upcoming years. What we need is a completely decentalised method of E2E encryption which does not rely on the established trust relationship of centralised certification authorities and which is not built into browsers., thus preventing browser designers from imposing their preferred mechanisms on everyone For an intro into the commercial problems I strongly recommend reading Murray Rothbard's "The Progressive Era" at least twice (free PDF)
Why Isn't This Site Prettier/Flashier/More Sophisticated/etc.?
This is purely a download and informaton site. I prefer to spend any free time on the project and not the website. The site is designed to a specification, which is to be very low cost in terms of maintenance, easy to use as a reference tool and not as an 'artistic statement'. Consequently it uses the minimum number of small thumbnail images (unless deliberately clicked), is more reliant on simple constructs such as text/lists/tables and avoids Flash content, video, animations, graphic backgrounds etc. It has been designed to work as far as possible in text-mode only browsers such as 'Links'
